Start with the AC
If you haven't used us before, the aircon is a good place to start. A regas is a simple job with a clear result, and it shows you how we turn up, how we work and how we quote.
While each vehicle is in front of us, we look over the rest of it: batteries, lights, wiring, belts and anything else that's worn or on its way out. You get a quote for what we find, and nothing extra gets done until you say so.
Book the fleet in before summer
The first hot week of the year turns up the AC faults nobody noticed in winter. Operators end up in cabs that won't cool, and everyone is chasing a regas at the same time.
A batch booked in spring gets ahead of that. Send us the vehicle list, or put it through the fleet quote builder, and tell us when the vehicles are parked up. We'll get through them at the depot, and weekend work is available by arrangement.
Not sure how the fleet is holding up? The fleet AC health check is a quick way to work out which vehicles to book first.
Why we don't just top it up
If a system is low on gas, it's usually leaking somewhere. A top-up treats the symptom, and the operator is back in a hot cab before long.
Doing it properly means recovering what's left, checking the system holds a vacuum and recharging by weight to the vehicle's spec. It takes longer than a top-up, but you find out whether the system is sound before you pay for new gas. We hold an ARC refrigerant trading authorisation.
One visit for electrical and AC
Plenty of AC faults have nothing to do with gas. A compressor clutch that won't engage, a dead condenser fan or a faulty pressure switch is an electrical fault. That's a job for an auto electrician, not just an AC tech.
We do both, so whoever finds the fault can fix it. Anything we spot on the walk-around is covered by our auto electrical work too, so it's one call for the lot.
