Wiring you won't be chasing later
A fit-out is only as good as the wiring behind it. Gear that's spliced into the nearest circuit or run without proper fusing fails sooner or later, and never at a convenient time.
Every circuit we add is fused, run in cable sized for the load, and switched where the driver can find it without looking. Wiring is routed clear of heat and moving parts, protected where it passes through panels, and sealed against water and dust. On bigger fit-outs, a braided harness keeps it all neat without a tangle of conduit.
Batteries and charging that keep up
Beacons, work lights, cameras and everything plugged in around the cab add up, especially when they run with the engine off. Before we add any load, we check that the battery and charging system can carry it.
Where the fit-out needs more than the vehicle was built for, we can add a second battery to run it, with a low-voltage cut-out that protects the start battery. On newer vehicles with smart alternators, which vary their output, a DC-DC charger is often the most reliable way to keep that battery charged.
The same layout in every vehicle
Drivers swap vehicles. If the light bar switch is on the dash in one ute and down by the handbrake in the next, someone ends up hunting for it in the dark.
We set up one layout with you and repeat it across the fleet: the same switches in the same spot, the same labels and the same screen position. New starters learn one vehicle and know them all, and fault finding later is simpler because every vehicle is wired the same way.
Built to your spec, planned around your roster
Plenty of fleet work comes with vehicle requirements attached. A site might ask for beacons, reversing alarms or a particular camera set-up, and a client might want its own signage on the doors. Each fit-out is built to the spec your contract, site or client calls for.
If something in the spec isn't clear, we'll ask before we drill a hole. Sorting out a question at the start beats redoing a fit-out, and our fleet ute fit-out guide covers what to think about before you order new vehicles.
Fit-outs take vehicles off the road, so we plan them in batches that leave you enough for the next shift. New vehicles can be fitted out before they start work, and when one is replaced, we can move the gear across so the old vehicle keeps working until the new one is ready.
Cameras, signage and asset numbers, same visit
Reverse cameras and in-cab screens go in with the rest of the wiring, on the same clean power and switching. If you want more than a plain reverse camera, Proxicam AI camera detection can go in at the same time. It alerts the driver when it picks up a person near the vehicle, which helps reduce risk around depots and busy sites.
Signage and asset numbers go on during the same visit, so the vehicle comes back finished instead of waiting on another trade. That includes Respro, our resin-coated hi-vis asset numbers. They stand up to high-pressure cleaning, so the vehicle can be washed and the numbers stay intact.
